Welcome to Andalucia
One often reads the misleading descriptions "real Spain" or "authentic Spain" and is subsequently disappointed to find that the chosen venue for one's holiday is neither truly real nor authentic. But in the case of Los Marines those descriptions are the literal truth.
This is not a tourist area, but a thriving farming area, given over to the growing of olive, almond and fruit trees and animal husbandry: particularly of goats and sheep, and one soon gets into the relaxed tempo of Spanish campo life.
